Dentures and Partials

These are removeable devices (prosthesis) that are made to replace missing teeth. Dentures area custom fabricated for each individual person to restore facial esthetics and functional harmony. They may be made with or without the use of dental implants. Partial dentures are custom fabricated utilizing the remaining natural teeth for support, stability and retention.

Extractions (tooth removal)

There are several reasons that a tooth or teeth may need to be extracted. Severe decay, periodontal (gum) disease or fracture of the tooth/root structure may require the removal of the tooth. Evaluation of each case is required to determine the extent of the procedure necessary to remove the tooth or teeth. Referral to an oral surgeon may be indicated in difficult cases.

Fillings

Fillings are placed in tooth to restore areas of decay when sufficient sound tooth structure is present. Filling materials include amalgam (silver filling), composite (tooth colored filling), porcelain, and gold. With today's bonding techniques, composites are the treatment of choice in most cases. They offer the advantages of bonding (strengthening) the tooth, are usually less sensitive, and esthetically restore the natural beauty of the tooth.

Implants

Dental implants are used to create a foundation for the replacement of teeth or for the retention of dentures. We would be happy to evaluate your particular situation and make recommendations.
