Bridges (fixed partial dentures)

A bridge is used to replace missing teeth. Teeth adjacent to the space are used as anchors (abutments). These appliances are bonded into place and can not be removed.

Crowns (caps), CEREC

Crowns are made to restore badly broken down, fractured or decayed teeth. As a general guideline, if one half or more of the tooth structure is missing, then a crown may be needed. Crowns can be done two ways. First, the conventional technique is done over two or more appointments. This requires a temporary crown to protect the tooth while the final restorations is made in a laboratory outside the office, approximately 2 weeks. Second, a newer technique uses CEREC CAD/CAM technology. A computer is used, in office, to design and fabricate your crown in ONE appointment. NO TEMPORARY is needed. We would be happpy to show this new technology to you.

Cosmetics

Cosmetic dentistry has improved tremendously over the last ten years. The development of new materials and techniques allows for a wide array of options to improve your smile. The bonding of tooth colored filling material, the placing of conservative porcelain veneers or the use of crowns for badly worn and broken teeth are all options for improving your appearance and function. We would be happy to discuss cosmetic options with you.
